Curtis Winans is the Vice President of Care Continuum in Kaiser Permanente’s Mid-Atlantic States. Curtis possesses over 15 years of experience in the health care industry. His expertise includes strategic planning, health care management, business case development, process improvement, and hospital operations. In his current role, Curtis oversees hospital operations, case management, post-acute palliative, and hospice care services for the Mid-Atlantic States. Since 2016, Curtis has held various positions progressing within Kaiser Permanente. He resides in Potomac, MD, with his wife and two daughters.
WORK EXPERIENCE
In his previous role, he was the Executive Director of Kaiser Permanente’s Strategic Initiatives, Analytics and Capital Planning, where he oversaw $1.2 billion of capital. Curtis is committed to improving patient health, equity, and diversity, optimizing patient care, and building greater employee accountability.
EDUCATION
He holds a biochemistry degree from the University of Texas and a healthcare administration postgraduate degree from Texas State University, and also has affiliations with the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
