Vice President, Delivery Systems Operations for Baltimore Service Area

Dana is the Vice President, Delivery System Operations, Baltimore service area for Kaiser Permanente. She is accountable for the operations of the delivery system, which includes ten medical centers comprised of primary care, specialty care, clinical decision units, ambulatory surgery center, radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. She develops and executes customer-focused business and operational strategies that respond to unique market factors such as size, demographics, competitors, segmentation strategy, and targeted consumer expectations. The plans effectively integrate with regional and national strategies.

She develops and nurtures relationships with medical staff members, colleagues, and staff, monitoring and effectively allocating resources to benefit patient care and system goals and objectives. She also works to ensure competitive positioning in the community by creating an accountable care infrastructure to advance our culture of service and quality.

Dana assimilated a highly effective cross-matrixed Kaiser Permanente team through the planning, execution, and successful opening of four medical centers in the Washington-Baltimore area. These centers were essential to the strategic growth plan for the Mid-Atlantic States.

Since joining Kaiser Permanente as a clinical operations manager in 2006, Dana has held numerous positions to include Director of Primary Care, Director of Maternal Child Health, Interim Director of Medical Specialties, Senior Transition Consultant, and Program Care Coordinator. She is the regional executive sponsor for primary care and urgent care.

Before joining Kaiser Permanente, she held positions as an ER nurse manager and as a staff and charge nurse at Capital Health Systems. Dana also served eight years in the Air Force, rising to the rank of captain of the Air Force Nurse Corps.

Dana holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from William Paterson University. She’s a graduate of the Nurse Manager Academy at Johns Hopkins University and is board-certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced.
